What we make
Six product lines,one workshop floor.
Standard items and made-to-drawing work run through the same shop, so one package can carry the doors, the wardrobes, the kitchen and the ironmongery. Finishes from lacquer and stain to polyurethane, varnish, HPL and melamine.

Fire-rated doors
Sixty, ninetyor a hundredand twenty.
Fire doors run on a separate technique from the rest of the shop, because they are assessed by the local civil defence authority and have to hold to local and international regulations.
Flats and service areas
Flat entrance doors and all service area doors are normally 60-minute rated.
Staircase doors
Where the specification calls for a longer hold on the protected route.
Tall buildings
Staircase and protected route doors where the height demands it.
Why
A fire door has two jobs: hold back smoke and combustion products in the early minutes, then stand as a barrier to a developed fire. Some locations only need the first. We build to whichever the drawing and the authority require.

Materials
What goesinto it.
This is the standard specification. Anything the drawing changes, we change with it.
- Base units
- 18 mm moisture-resistant MDF at wet areas, especially around sinks.
- Edges
- Carcass, shelf and drawer edges in PVC lipping. Adjustable PVC legs with clip-on skirting.
- Cabinet doors
- Veneer pressed with PU-lacquer spray polish, paint finish, HPL pressed, or wood-grain melamine.
- Wall units
- Same construction as base units, hung on wall brackets — two hinges and one handle per door, glass and LED where called for.
- Door cores
- Solid panel construction for entrances; solid or tubular chipboard core pressed with veneer or laminate for flush doors.
- Fire doors
- Separate manufacturing technique, subject to regular civil defence assessment.
